Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 July 2026
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
ScrubbedIn ("we", "us") operates scrubbedin.app, an educational revision platform for surgical trainees. These terms form the contract between you and us when you create an account or purchase a subscription. By using the service you accept these terms.
2. Educational use only — not clinical advice
All content on ScrubbedIn — questions, explanations, operative guides, anatomy, imaging cases and career guides — is provided for education and exam revision only. It is not clinical advice, does not replace local protocols, senior advice, or your own clinical judgement, and must not be used to make decisions about the care of real patients. Clinical practice and guidelines change; while we aim to reflect current UK practice, we do not guarantee that content is complete, current or error-free.
Imaging on the platform consists of AI-generated illustrations depicting classic radiological findings. They are not real patient studies.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate details and keep your password secure.
- Accounts are personal — sharing an account or reselling access is not permitted.
- We may suspend accounts that breach these terms, with a refund of any unused paid period where the breach is not serious.
4. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
- Free tier — a limited selection of content, free forever, no card required.
- Monthly (£9.99/month) and Annual (£79.99/year) — recurring subscriptions billed by Stripe. They renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time from your Account page; access continues to the end of the period already paid.
- 3-Month Revision Pass (£29.99) — a one-off payment for 3 months of access. It does not auto-renew.
Prices include VAT where applicable and may change; changes never affect a period you have already paid for.
5. Cancellation and refunds
You control your own subscription. You can stop future payments at any time yourself — recurring plans can be cancelled from your Account page (access then continues until the end of the period you have already paid for), and the 3-month pass simply ends automatically with no renewal. You never need to contact us to cancel.
The law gives you a 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases. Because ScrubbedIn is digital content supplied immediately, at checkout you consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that you lose this 14-day right once you access any paid content. Purchases are therefore non-refundable once you have started using the paid features.
This does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: if paid content is faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality you are entitled to a remedy. To raise such a claim, email adminscrubbedinapp@gmail.com.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not copy, scrape, redistribute or republish the question bank or other content.
- Do not attempt to bypass the paywall, probe the service for vulnerabilities, or interfere with other users.
- You may use what you learn freely — the restriction is on republishing our content itself.
7. Intellectual property
All content on ScrubbedIn is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by copyright. Your subscription grants a personal, non-transferable licence to access the content for your own study while your subscription is active.
8. Availability and liability
We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as is" and may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons outside our control. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Because the service is education-only (section 2), we accept no liability for clinical decisions.
9. Contact and governing law
You can reach us at adminscrubbedinapp@gmail.com. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings there.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be notified to registered users by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
